GJD detector was easy to integrate into our custom build...
T Shed engineers specialist camera equipment for wildlife filmmakers. Our kit is often used in hostile environments around the world from the Arctic to tropical rainforests. We have recently incorporated the GJD Dual Tech 362 motion detector into one of our custom trail camera systems for a wildlife documentary project about Indian tigers to be shot over the next three years. These custom built remote cameras will capture the tigers up close and personal with an ultra high resolution 4K camera.
We specifically chose the GJD Dual Tech detector built for the export market as we needed a PIR system that would be less prone to false detections from moving foliage and hot air currents as well as being able to detect hot blooded mammals when the ambient temperature is very close to the target body temperature. The 362 detector with its dual microwave and PIR detector as well as its intelligent digital temperature compensation has been able to deliver effectively for us in the field with temperatures reaching the mid 40’s C and 100% humidity.
On a practical level we have found the GJD detector was easy to integrate into our custom build..

Chubb RVR endorse GJD D-TECT
“At Remote Video Response (RVR), we have been working with GJD, testing the new D-TECT 2, since its beta release in May 2005. The outcomes of these tests have proved most positive, and achieved the levels of success we were looking for. False alarm rates were down, and the volume of alarm traffic to the monitoring centre reduced. The product is feature rich, complies with BS8418 and is aesthetically well designed – all of which will be of benefit to the Remote Video Response Centre (RVRC), installer and customer alike.”

RemGuard endorse GJD D-TECT’s
RemGuard, in conjunction with their approved installers, have recently commissioned GJD’s D-TECT 2 on two monitored sites. “To be honest we were surprised, but certainly encouraged by the low number of false triggers from the D-TECTs” reported Alan Collinge, Operations Director
He added: “In fact since the two sites were commissioned there have been no false alarms. Every time the sensors trigger a genuine activation can be confirmed. Compared with some of the more expensive products on the market, the D-TECT’s score on cost, they are easier to install and set-up, attractive in design and probably less vulnerable to attack than competitive products.
One of the unique features of the D-TECT’s is the integral masking curtains, which allow the installer to readily adjust the field of view from 10° for perimeters and up to 70° for open spaces. The adjustable pan and tilt electronics module, coupled with a mounting height of up to 6 metres, allows the view of the sensor and the camera to be matched and the fact that the range is not fixed, but can be programmed is an enormous advantage when dealing with potential boundary overspill scenarios.
Equally the convenience afforded by the hand held remote IR range adjuster has also got to be a big plus for the installers”

We were really impressed that our engineers found the D-TECT detectors so easy to install and our client RRG were also particularly impressed with the aesthetics of the units on their building.

GJD Security System - Dave Delve
I have fitted a GJD system to my last home and now have one on my present home. I find it is a brilliant system and I have fitted the extra piezo sounder to the expansion unit in the loft so it can be heard from outside.
As a retired police officer I know it takes on average 4 mins for an intruder to approach a home, enter and leave with your items - in this time a call to the police has only just got through to the officer on the ground and then they have to travel and find your property, so it is better to warn off the intruder before the attempt to enter has taken place. The sounder in the loft had failed after 9 yrs and as I bought five different sounders to find one that worked with your system I thought I would contact your sales direct.
I spoke to Liz who passed me on to Mark. Both were friendly and had a pleasant manner and an excellent sense of humour, (so many people who speak to customers these days do not have these qualities) - they not only solved my problem, they made the whole experience one to remember, I am writing to bring them to your attention as they are a credit to your company and as such deserve to be thanked; I only wish more companies had such pleasant staff as you do.
